I have arthritis in my ankles and hips--With these Mary Janes and sneakers I am able to stay up right for both walks doing housecleaning and even at work. They are not to high so you are able to keep your balance and they take pressure of you feet in the right places so you do not feel the intense pain when walking and standing-Fashionable ? NO- but to be able to function I really don't care
