best lanterns for our power outage lasted all nite

I bought these lanterns a few months ago in case of a storm power outage. Yesterday we had a storm and power outage. I put new batteries in for the first time and...No light in either lantern.

Good product with good light. Only thing was that noone told me til today that I could get a power cord. Might offer this at the time the product is ordered.
