I do a lot of walking for exercise. I have back problems. Lace up shoes gave me problem when laces came loose and I would need to bend over to lace up. I decided to try these Velcro shoes and I am glad I did. I have used them most every day for about four months. They never come loose. The shoes are well made, comfortable, and durable. The appearance is good. My only complaint is that the straps are longer than necessary. This results in the excess strap length extending beyond the attachment Velcro. That detracts from the appearance. However, that is not a serious problem. I plan to buy another pair.
